Q. What is the difference between SkyMed and Global Emergency Travel Services (Global ETS)?
A. SkyMed transports you to your home medical facility of your choice when you are traveling anywhere in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Bahamas and Caribbean. When you are vacationing outside of the SkyMed service area, the Global Emergency Travel Services (Global ETS) will take over. It will transport you to your home medical facility only when it is medically necessary to do so.
Q. How will I receive my membership information once I enroll?
A. SkyMed Short Term and Ultimate Short Term plans: Within 48 hours of enrollment, SkyMed will send a confirmation e-mail with all details of your membership and the Member Service Agreement.
SkyMed Ultimate Annual plan: Upon enrollment, SkyMed will send a confirmation e-mail with all details of your membership and the Member Service Agreement. Allow 10 business days for the delivery of the hard membership card and member services packet via mail. Contact SkyMed Customer Service at 1.800.475.9633 for any additional questions relating to your membership.
Q. Will the membership provide coverage for my family?
A. For your convenience, SkyMed offers individual and family memberships so that you and your entire traveling party can be covered.
Q. What constitutes a family membership?
A. SkyMed family covers two or more co-habitants of any gender or age and all their dependent children up to age of 18. SkyMed also covers family members that are full time students up to age 24. It is not required that full time students over the age 18, live under the same household to qualify.
Q. How does a member utilize the service?
A. Member can contact SkyMed customer service direct collect worldwide at 1.480.946.5188, 24-hours, and seven days a week all year long. When calling, the member will be asked if this is a medical emergency. If immediate assistance is required, answer ‘yes’ and the member will be transferred to SkyMed member services personnel.

A. SkyMed North American and Ultimate Short Term Plans: Cancel prior to the initial travel date for full refund.
