Gift Your Points
At Diamond Resorts the first thing we say to our members, owners and guests arriving at our properties is “welcome home.” While those who can stay at home, our courageous medical personnel and first responders are working tirelessly on the front lines of this crisis. We are proud to support them the best way we know how – by saying thank you and providing them with a home away from home. All of our open Diamond-managed properties around the world offered complimentary accommodations to medical personnel and first responders. Like many, we had been looking for ways to help. We realized we were in a unique position to provide accommodations that are particularly well-suited for social distancing. Our suites are larger than typical hotel rooms and the majority include full, in-suite kitchens with refrigerators, ovens and stoves, plus full bathrooms and laundry facilities. We have instituted stringent safety procedures to assist those at higher risk of exposure while protecting the health of our team members. This includes contactless check-in and check-out, additional cleaning protocols and a 72-hour offline time for rooms between stays. On March 28, Diamond Resorts announced a new global initiative to help provide those responding to the COVID-19 pandemic with safe, comfortable and convenient places to rest while they carry out their critical work. We are proud to share that we have provided more than 10,000 free nights to first responders and medical personnel. We are humbled to have helped in our small way and thank our first responders and medical personnel for their service. Now we are offering the opportunity for members directly to contribute up to 3000 points to provide accommodations for medical personnel and first responders, and for every point gifted by members, Diamond will match with our own contribution. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a binding agreement between member and Diamond and govern the gifting of points. By making a gift, member (i) acknowledges receipt of these Terms; and (ii) confirms that he or she has read and understands, and agrees to be bound by, these Terms. Term: You may gift your Points through June 15, 2020. Points: A member in good standing is eligible to make a one-time gift of up to 3,000 points. Point contributions can be processed online or by phone in 500 point increments. No more than 3,000 points per member can be gifted. Eligible Points include points saved from 2019, 2020 Points, Bonus and DDH Points. Sampler Points and points that are not part of the US, Hawaii, or California Collections, or Cabo Azul are not eligible. For all gifted Points, you will remain responsible for maintenance fees, Club Dues and monthly loan payments (for financed sales). Release: By making a gift, member irrevocably waives and releases Diamond from all claims, demands and damages of every kind and any way connected with the gift of Points. Gift: Diamond is not an organization exempt from tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and there is no charitable donation available for a gift of points. Diamond retains exclusive legal control over all gifted points and member is making a final and irrevocable gift to Diamond. All donations are gifts made voluntarily to Diamond, with no conditions.
